DescriptionStudents must research this disease or condition that impacts communication in some way. Students must explain 1) the disease; 2) its impact on communication; barriers to communication the disease or condition presents; 3) accommodations that must be and/or might be made; 4) ethical and/or legal obligations associated with the condition (consent, privacy, etc); 5) why the healthcare practitioner needs to be aware of these issues; 6) how the healthcare practitioner can/would deal with the situation (treatment modifications). As a Communications course, this paper must focus on communication rather than the disease itself. The paper must be written in APA format, double spaced, in Times New Roman 12pt font, with one-inch margins all around and no fewer than 6 pages not including the title page, abstract, definitions section, or Reference List. Students must use a minimum of five (5) reliable sources and proper internal citations. Students may not duplicate any other student’s topic.
